No cheating and saying it's a tie. What is the one archive you wish DC would make right now?

Mine:
Silver Age Superman

Sooooo much to choose from.....

GA Hawkman, GA Sandman, SA Superman, Brave & Bold 1-24, Adam Strange, Ditko Blue Beetle/Question -- I certainly daydream about having these future archives more than I should.

But my vote is going a different direction. I want the wacky 50's Batman (drawn by Dick Sprang of course). I remember either having an original, or a 60's Giant with reprints that entertained me greatly as a youngster -- something about giant milk bottles in a factory.

Perhaps I'll regret basing a whole archive run off of one dimly remembered story -- but it gets my nostalgia vote.

Adam Strange.

Followed by Brave & Bold (#1-24), GA Hawkman, GA Sandman, Strange Adventures, SA Superman, Captain Marvel Jr., Johnny Thunder (or the two western anthologies he appeared in), Mystery in Space, anything by Lou Fine, and Newsboy Legion.

GA Sandman.

A Robin Archive is interesting, though.
I also want a GA or SA Green Arrow, GA Starman Vol.2, that mythical All-Star Archives 0 (which would include All-Star #1 and 2), a complete GA Flash run, a complete GA Green Lantern run and a Seven Soliders of Victory Hardcover.

There are a lot of archives that I would like to see, mainly golden age, but for sheer reading pleasure I would have to say The Golden Age Hawkman. His stories in Flash Comics were the best of the era. I have collected a few scans of the series, but without a doubt, it was the highest quality strip of its time.

Following that would be Dr. Mid-Nite, Dr. Fate, Starman #2, Golden Age Sandman, Golden Age Aquaman, Comic Cavalcade and Hourman. Then Captain Comet and the pre team up Brave and Bold.

That would make my year.

Tough choice. GA Hawkman is greatly desired. I'd really like to see a Phantom Stranger, too. But I think I'm gonna have to say Superbaby.

This changes from day to day. Right now, I would say Brave and the Bold #1-24.

This is followed by Adam Strange, GA Hawkman, Cap Marvel Jr, the Marvel Family, Johnny Quick, and Robotman.

SEA DEVILS

Followed by Viking Prince, and then Adam Strange.

Very tough choice. Very, very tough choice.

Overall I'd say it's a choice between Brave and the Bold #1-24 and Adam Strange, but in situations like this, I will have to default to my love of Jack Kirby.

So I'll say New Gods #1.

Of all material out there, I want a Black Terror vol.1, but if you make me choose a DC property, hard choice, but I'll say Captain Marvel Jr. with Scribbly and the Red Tornado a close second. There's really little I will refuse to buy (Elfquest is one, but it's not really an archive in my eyes), so DC can put just about any volume one out there (or two, or three, or...) and get my money.

Technically, my dream Archive would be Doom Patrol #2, but since I guess we're talking about lines that haven't been started, I want a SA Superman #1 ever so awful!

OO. Well, the recent dylanfan map has renewed my fervor for Brace & Bold. Plus there's always Tomahawk and Red Tornado. And I am an afficionado of Doctor Fate and Hawkman but. . .

I would have to go with Golden Age Sandman # 1

Bert Christman, Creig Flessel, Chap Grothkopf -- maybe a little Gardner Fox thrown in there for the later stories? Yes, I rather think so.

I want to share the love of one of my favorite Golden Age series.

This is unanswerable. There are 150 or more Archives I'd sell a kidney for, if I thought it would help. Complete Marvel Family (icluding complete solo stories), complete Sheldon Meyer, complete Jack Cole, complete Green Lantern (Alan, Hal, John, you name it), more Blackhawk, more Kubert, funny animals, science fiction, '70s Batman, etc., etc.

The list is effectively endless. DC should be able to reprint stuff I'm willing to buy for the next 30 years, easily.

But that can't be for now, so I'll go with Dr. Fate.

JONAH HEX!!!

Its really surprising that this one hasn't started yet and yet we have things like Enemey Ace, which was excellent, but you would think that there would be more demand for Jonah Hex...

Another surprising ommision is Green Arrow...

Number one is easy: Silver Age Superman. Even if they started this series this year and published them annually it would take a bit over 20 years to finalize it.
After that it becomes extremely difficult to list them in order, but I would also like to see (in no particular order):
Doll Man
Marvel Family
Adam Strange
Golden Age Hawkman
Brave and Bold (anthology)
Lois Lane (I am strangely drawn towards Kurt Schaffenberger's art, plus not enough female characters are being archived, in my opinion)
Dr Fate
Sandman
Hourman
